Benefits of chanting/reciting mantras or slokas

There are many benefits of chanting and reciting of mantras and slokas. Chanting is repeating one mantra in 11, 21 51, 108 or 1008 sets. On the net, many benefits are given like it lowers blood pressure, normalizes heartbeat rate, induces correct brain wave pattern, adrenaline levels, and even reduces high cholesterol levels, sharpens the intellect, improves oxygen level in the brain (as a result of systematic deep breathing and general healing. I am giving below what I experience from daily pranayama of slokas: Self-Discipline I live in Kolkata with my husband.  Nobody there to discipline me like put kolam, bath and cook, etc.  My elders have inculcated in me the good habits and I have become self-disciplined one.  Within such a short time in the morning I finish my puja, cooking, washing, eating, packing, charging phones & laptop, attending phone calls both official and personal (which are unavoidable) and leave for office. Audio/lyrics Slokams for parayana

Many are not able to recite slokams due to lack of time. Time is limited and we have to squeeze in many things. When we do parayanam of slokams we normally do at a faster speed and without much swarams. Sometimes when we are interrupted we forget where we stopped. So I am adding some slokams which you can hear in your headphone and do normal work or during the preparation of puja. These are not meant for learning but reciting along. In some lengthy slokams I have omitted the Phalasruti. Phalasruti is just to know the benefits that can be achieved by recitng. It is to motivate people to recite but people who are visiting this site are already motivated and have rock-hard faith so reciting phalasruti is not important. Nyasam also omitted since we are not reciting in front of God and not doing the hand gestures(mudras). We don't have to ask for anything. God will gives us what is required at appropriate time and sometimes more than we deserve While we are reciting our mind conen
