Ganapati Tuesday Vratham

This vratham is undertaken to remove the obstacles in our endeavour which though we strive to do it but somehow or other it does not get fructified. To overcome this problem Who else, we approach Lord Ganesha - Vignahartha. I, my daughter and my younger brother have great belief gained through our past experiences.

Vidhi
The duration of this vratham is 21 weeks, a bit extended one. Every Tuesday we read Ganesha Pancharatnam and Ganesha Panchakam 11 times and the rest of the weeks 1 time. It has to be done in the evening after sunset. After the morning puja bathe the Ganesh idol or dust the photo of Lord Ganesha and keep it on a new cloth over a small peedam.

In the evening light the deepam and start the reciting of Ganesha Pancharatnam and Ganesha Panchakam. Naivedyam of home cooked with jaggery is must on all Tuesdays. Rest of the days any fruits can be offered along with little jaggery. On the odd number of Tuesdays (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 17th and 19th and 21st) any sweet prepared with jaggery can be offered -line modakam, sarkarai pongal, appam, aval pori urundai.Lord Ganesh likes Red flowers and Dhurva. If not available use akshada I am giving the link below for the audio slokam. It will help in reading 11 times. Everytime you finishes one count offer flower and dhurva dipped in chanda.n Note it down in a paper the days you have started and also the wishes. Sometimes when we do puja for 21 weeks we forget the reason we have started and lose the counts. This is the actual indication that our puja is in correct direction. We get engrossed in the puja that we forget to ask as we take pleasure in doing the puja. Can anyone remember of having asked anything standing in Garbagraha The momemt we enter the Garbagraha our mind is with the God and we forget to mention our wishes.
